So I tried this with my little slices of leftover pizza today and at first it worked really well! Until the cheese started melting off the side onto the heating coils, causing the toaster to smoke inordinately. I’m pretty sure there must be a smoke detector in the break room so I abandonded this project after heating the first two pieces.
